Privacy
Tunelle has no account, no analytics and no tracking. Your library, playlists, favourites and settings stay on your computer. This page lists the only places the app talks to.
What the app contacts
- The station directory, radio-browser.info. The Radio page asks it for stations, with the words and filters you search for, and when you play a station it asks for the address of its stream. Like any request, this shows your IP address to the directory.
- The stations. A stream and the logo of a station are loaded from the servers of the station, which see your IP address like any web server does.
- MusicBrainz and the Cover Art Archive. When a station announces a song but gives no cover for it, the title of the song is sent to MusicBrainz to find the release it is on, and the cover is loaded from the Cover Art Archive. The cover is kept in memory until you close the app, not on disk.
- Deezer. To show photos of your artists, the names of the artists in your library are sent to Deezer. The photos are kept on your computer. You can turn this off in Settings, under Artist photos; photos that were downloaded stay.
- GitHub, for updates. The installer version looks for a new release on GitHub when it starts, which you can turn off in Settings. The Microsoft Store version never does that: the Store brings the updates.
Nothing else leaves your computer, and nothing is sent to the author of Tunelle. Your music files are never uploaded.
Where the content comes from
Stations are listed by radio-browser.info, a community directory that anyone can add stations to. Tunelle does not run, check or endorse the stations or what they broadcast. The photos of artists belong to Deezer and to their rights holders, and covers from the Cover Art Archive belong to their rights holders, who uploaded them or whose work they show.
Tunelle is an independent project. It is not affiliated with or endorsed by radio-browser.info, Deezer, MusicBrainz or Microsoft. Their names belong to them.
A station you object to
Tunelle cannot remove a station from the directory. To report a station, use the report options of radio-browser.info. To tell us about a problem with the app, or with what it shows, open an issue.
